Wellness Creed – Part 2

This is part of a continuing series on the Wellness Creed developed by Vines of Wellness. It is important to define the philosophy and mission which underpin a wellness strategy. Read more about the VoW Wellness Creed.

“The body was created to be able to heal itself when given the appropriate tools to do so, but since we live in a fallen world, not every body will be whole on earth. Yet, there are many tools available to us to promote life and wellness.”

This statement is not fatalistic, rather it is realistic. No matter how many wise decisions we make, perfection is not attainable this side of Heaven. However, this truth is not an excuse for laziness. Every decision we make impacts our health: body, mind, and/or spirit.

Set a goal such as completing a Whole30, or committing to 10k steps per day, or setting aside time for journaling or prayer each day. There are many tools in the wellness toolbox. Matching the right tools with the right individual is the duty of the holistic wellness practitioner.

  • Sleep
  • Hydration
  • Whole Nutrition
  • Exercise
  • Herbal Aids (culinary preparations, teas, infusions, tinctures, vinegars, oxymels, body products, etc.)
  • Aromatherapy
  • Flower essences
  • Dietary Supplements
